Hello Sherman families!
As I begin my 28th year in education, I am honored and excited to be starting it at Sherman Elementary School! Right from the interview, I have heard amazing things about the exceptional faculty, staff, students, and families. Everyone has made me feel welcome and part of the family! It is an honor to partner with this wonderful community as we make it our mission to ensure the success of every child.
My time in education has been K-12, mostly at Beaver River. The majority of my years have been spent working with special education students. My husband is a school counselor at Lowville Academy, where he has been for over 25 years. I have three children: Madeline (24) will be completing her Doctor of Chiropractic in November, while her husband is a Physical Therapist; Natalie (22) will be teaching Geometry at General Brown starting this fall; Brayden (18) just began his career with the DEC after graduating high school in June. To say I am a proud mother is an understatement!
As parents, your roll is crucial to the success of your children. I encourage you to take an active part in your child’s education. Spend time reading and learning with your child. Ask them how their day was and what they learned. Your interest in their education will help them in more ways than you can imagine! Please continue to review our district website to learn about all the wonderful things taking place in our district. We are a partnership!
As the Principal, my goal is to create a positive, safe and stimulating learning environment. The fabulous staff at Sherman are continual learners and ready to help your children soar!
Thank you so much for partnering with us to provide each child with an excellent learning experience! Don't ever hesitate to reach out if you have questions!
